Trend Micro lauds Majid Al Futtaim Retail for its cybersecurity resilience, at GITEX

Trend Micro today lauded the efforts of Majid Al Futtaim Retail – operator of Carrefour in the Middle East, Africa and Asia – for its remarkable dedication to adopting best practices in cybersecurity to protect its IT environment.

Trend Micro honoured Majid Al Futtaim Retail with a special award for its cybersecurity resilience on the sidelines of GITEX 2021. Richard Oluseye Ogunkeye, Head of Security and Privacy, Majid Al Futtaim Retail, received the award from Dr. Moataz Bin Ali, Vice President and Managing Director, MENA for Trend Micro.

Over the last five years, the organisation has been securing its regional operations by implementing different Trend Micro developments. Carrefour, which has stores in 17 countries, is now entering phase two of its partnership with Trend Micro, using Trend Micro Vision One – Managed XDR services to boost its security posture in the region and resist future cyber threats.

Majid Al Futtaim Retail has advanced its digital transformation path by choosing Trend Micro as its preferred security partner, safeguarding over 10,000 endpoints, 2,500 servers, and various networks. Trend Micro solutions, which have both SOC (Security Operations Centers) and DOC (Data Operations Centre) teams based in Dubai, have fortified and centralised the company’s cybersecurity infrastructure, which has 17 data centres in several locations.
