Trimble’s annual Tekla User Days 2021, a conclave of experts an event for its construction technology customers, was held over three days from August 24th to 26th. The first edition of TUD brought together Tekla specialists, users, and construction industry professionals from India and the Middle East on a single virtual platform. Tekla User Days were held as a virtual conference for the second year in a row to safeguard the safety and well-being of guests affected by the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic.

Guests were able to stroll through a 3D virtual conference environment to attend key presentations from industry leaders, select their favourite training programmes, network with other attendees, and even meet directly with Tekla professionals at virtual booths to solve any questions they had. Workshops, contests, case studies showcases, and roundtable discussions were held throughout the course of the three-day event, giving software users the chance to learn about the newest Tekla 2021 developments. During these sessions, the participants were focused and actively engaged in various areas of the construction sector.

An illustrious roundtable discussion, titled “Connected Construction, Connected World,” brought together several industry veterans to discuss the challenges that the transportation infrastructure industry is facing today, as well as the technologies that are available to overcome some of these challenges. Paul Wallett, Trimble Solutions’ Regional Director for the Middle East and India, met with government officials and construction experts, including Gabriel Neves, Trimble Solutions’ Technical Manager for Bridges; Daniel Llort, Civil Engineer for the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure’s Roads Department; and others; Octaviano Paraiso, Assistant Vice President for Production of SYSTRA International Bridge Technologies; Soughah AlSamahi, Civil Engineer, Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, UAE and Anoop Singh, Head of Bridges, COWI India. The speakers also talked about how to properly integrate technology into infrastructure development operations to increase efficiency.
