UAE Workers Save 4.5 Hours Weekly Using AI

The UAE continues to lead in technological advancements, with a recent Freshworks study highlighting the country’s prominence in AI adoption and usage. The study surveyed 7,000 employees from 13 countries, revealing that UAE workers are among the most knowledgeable and comfortable with AI applications globally.

The Freshworks report indicates that 84% of UAE workers are comfortable using AI-enhanced software, and 70% consider themselves knowledgeable or experts in AI. This high degree of AI familiarity has led to widespread adoption, with 80% of UAE workers trusting AI software to enhance their work processes. Notably, 29% of workers use AI-enhanced applications daily, and 81% use them at least once a week.

The integration of AI in the workplace has significantly boosted efficiency and productivity. Nearly half of the UAE workforce reports that AI-powered software helps them accomplish more tasks with higher quality and ease. On average, AI usage saves UAE workers 4 hours and 32 minutes per week, surpassing the global average of 3 hours and 47 minutes by nearly 20%.

The Freshworks study also sheds light on the primary use cases of AI among UAE workers: data analysis, content creation, text and audio translation, code writing and creation, and research and brainstorming. Data analysis is the most common use, highlighting the advanced level of AI maturity in the country. Content creation is a vital tool for various industries, while text and audio translation are essential in a country with a diverse population of over 200 nationalities. Code writing and creation streamline software development processes, and research and brainstorming enhance creative and strategic tasks.

The report also highlights that 51% of UAE employees use free online AI software, raising data privacy concerns. However, nearly half (47%) of the respondents stated that their companies invest in paid AI software to mitigate these risks.
