URENT has teamed with HUAWEI CLOUD Middle East to help it accelerate its digital transformation as it increases its service offerings and expands into new locations across the Middle East.

Omar Al Ashi, CEO and Founder of URENT, said: “Since its launch in the UAE in February 2021, URENT has been called the”the Airbnb of mobility” by Arabian Business Magazine. URENT is an end-to-end mobility platform that offers users the ability to rent almost anything that moves on ground and water, from cars, chauffeur-driven limos, to motorbikes, yachts, jet skis, etc.”

He added, “URENT users rent directly from hosts through its platform in a seamless, cashless, and user-friendly way. The platform enables hosts to set their own rules, limits, pricing, and availability of their fleets. Renters enjoy navigating through a wide range of vehicles and watercraft, with the option of interacting with the hosts via the in-app chat. Everything can be done through the app from booking, payment, special arrangements, and any extras that the renter may require”.

Omar Akar, MD & VP of Cloud Business at Huawei Middle East, noted: “With its rich stack of technologies, HUAWEI CLOUD is empowering and enabling organizations of all sized to digitally transform their business operations and key services. We are excited to be cooperating with URENT in this endeavor, themselves being a disruptor and innovator in the mobility market.”

URENT will continue to collaborate with HUAWEI CLOUD as a trusted digital transformation partner and cloud provider in the future. This will entail using HUAWEI CLOUD’s infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS) capabilities and a global network of over 20,000 partners and 2.3 million developers.

URENT is redefining mobility in the tech space, with the first peer-to-peer vehicle sharing network in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) area, and plans to grow outside the region by licencing its technology to partners around the world. URENT’s technology may be adapted to fit the individual demands of partners based on their nation and client preferences and requirements and can be utilized in B2C, B2B, and B2B2C ideas. As a result, building trust between hosts and renters, who are sometimes in different countries, is critical, with secure cloud-based apps and services supporting such interaction.

URENT, based in the United Arab Emirates, provides the region’s widest range of mobility for hire. It was the first company of its sort to be licensed by the UAE Roads and Transport Authority at the time of its launch.
