The Dubai Chamber’s Latin American regional offices recently organized a webinar to promote Expo 2020 Dubai as an ideal platform for Latin American companies to do business in Dubai, as well as to educate entrepreneurs in the region about the emirate’s competitive advantages.

The webinar, titled Webinar: Expo 2020: Your Platform for Doing Business in Dubai, drew nearly 600 people from 20 nations from various industries, including consulting, manufacturing, government, advertising, retail, and financial services.

The heads of Dubai Chamber’s offices in Brazil, Panama, and Argentina gave an overview of the various Latin American countries’ plans and strategies for Expo 2020 Dubai and their expectations for the mega event during the webinar.

Omar Khan, Director of International Offices at Dubai Chamber, addressed participants, saying that the virtual event provided an excellent opportunity for Latin American companies to learn how Expo 2020 Dubai can help them attract investment, forge trade agreements, and promote international cooperation.

He explained that as an official partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, the Dubai Chamber is concentrating its efforts on promoting the mega event on a global scale, engaging with business communities across the region, and exploring new avenues of economic cooperation through the Global Business Forum Latin America 2022, which will take place on the sidelines of Expo 2020 Dubai.

The event came to a close with video messages from the general commissioners of Chile, Argentina, Panama, Peru, Colombia, Guatemala, Paraguay, and Costa Rica, who spoke about their respective countries’ preparations for Expo 2020 Dubai, as well as the importance of the event for the region and the expansion of relations between the UAE and Latin American business communities.
