Practical Cybersecurity Training by Positive Technologies

Positive Technologies has launched a new international, free-of-charge training program for students and young professionals. Initiated on August 12, 2024, in Moscow, the program reflects the company’s commitment to sharing its expertise in IT infrastructure security with a global audience.

This year’s Positive Hack Camp has drawn participants from 20 countries, with over 40% hailing from Gulf States, highlighting the widespread demand for Positive Technologies’ practical cybersecurity training. Of the 350 applicants, 70 students were selected, including 34 from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, and Palestine.

The two-week program, running until August 25, includes intensive cybersecurity training, guided city tours, and cultural experiences to immerse participants in Russian culture and history. Dmitry Serebryannikov, Chief Hacking Officer at Positive Technologies, emphasized the importance of sharing their extensive knowledge gained from over 20 years of protecting critical information infrastructure. He noted, “Understanding attack strategies is crucial to developing effective defense technologies.” In addition to the Positive Hack Camp, Positive Technologies hosts events such as the Positive Hack Days and the Standoff cyber exercises. Positive Hack Days, held from May 23–26, 2024, attracted around 200 international attendees. The Standoff exercise, conducted twice a year, enables cybersecurity experts to test their skills against phygital twins of real IT infrastructures, with over 4,000 professionals participating over its nine-year history.
