Dubai’s DGHR and DCAI Partner for AI Prompt Engineering Initiative

Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) and the Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) have united forces to support the groundbreaking ‘One Million Prompters’ initiative. This collaboration aims to reinforce Dubai’s role as a global AI talent hub and premier destination for AI investment.

Announced at the prestigious AI Retreat 2024, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the initiative aligns with Dubai’s Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI). Launched by His Highness, the ‘One Million Prompters’ initiative targets the upskilling of a million individuals in prompt engineering over three years.

Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, DGHR Director General, emphasized the transformative impact of AI: “AI has propelled technological advancements, aiding professionals across all sectors. At DGHR, we’re integrating AI proactively, training personnel, and advocating for ethical AI use. Our partnership with Dubai Future Foundation supports unlocking AI’s potential for innovative solutions.”

Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, highlighted the strategic importance of partnerships in advancing AI applications: “Collaborations empower talent and drive AI expansion across key sectors, reinforcing Dubai’s status as the world’s most future-ready city and a hub for AI talent and innovation.”

The partnership aims to equip individuals with skills in algorithm creation and AI-guided prompt engineering, fostering an environment for trainees to learn from AI experts. The collaboration was unveiled at the AI Retreat 2024, jointly organized by DCAI and the National Program for Artificial Intelligence, attracting over 2,500 government, private sector leaders, and global tech giants.
