Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) has announced its participation in the development of the Metaverse, which will simulate the UAE's manned Mars mission in 2117. BEDU, Dubai's foremost pioneer in Web3 technologies and solutions, will lead this first-of-its-kind project. The 2117 Metaverse project, which has been formalized through a memorandum of understanding, will involve close collaboration between MBRSC and BEDU. BEDU will contribute its expertise to the development of the 2117 Metaverse.

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure and as a part of UAE Maritime Week, Seatrade Maritime will bring its flagship Middle East conference and exhibition, now known as Seatrade Maritime and Logistics Middle East, back to Dubai in May 2023. Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, has revealed that over 27,100 companies joined as new members in the first eight months of 2022, representing a 69% year-over-year (y-o-y) increase and bringing total membership to over 314,000. Between January and August 2022, member exports and re-exports increased by more than 20% year on year, totaling AED 177 billion.

The Direct Debit Marketplace platform, which is available to organizations that take recurring fees in any industry, is bank agnostic, which means it does not affect the merchants' relationship with their banking services provider. The platform provides users with peace of mind because direct debits enabled by the platform are integrated with and regulated by the UAE Central Bank. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has launched a WhatsApp business account through which customers can contact the ministry and submit inquiries. Customers can reach the ministry at 600590000, and services will be available in English and Arabic. The new channel, verified by Meta, the owner of WhatsApp, allows employers, employees, domestic helpers, and other categories to contact MoHRE in real-time. With the launch of the new service, MoHRE has become the UAE's first federal entity to have a verified WhatsApp business account.
