Nestlé’s renowned chocolate brand, KITKAT, is joining forces with the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) to support the inaugural Esports World Cup (EWC) this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This exciting partnership with the world’s largest gaming festival will embed KITKAT deeper into global gaming culture, promoting the brand’s iconic “Have a Break” slogan within the gaming community. Gamers, get ready to Climb, “Break”, and Dominate!

Through this collaboration, KITKAT aims to connect with both competitive and casual gamers, emphasizing the importance of taking breaks for optimal performance. Whether it’s a strategic pause during a match or a moment to refresh and refocus, KITKAT and EWC believe that breaks are crucial for a healthy and enjoyable gaming experience.

“We are thrilled to partner with an iconic brand like KITKAT to bring renewed energy and connection to the esports community,” said Mohammed Al Nimer, Sales Director, Esports World Cup Foundation. “This collaboration will enhance the experience for all attendees and underscore the importance of strategic breaks for improved performance. We encourage all fans to visit the KITKAT booth, take a break, and enjoy some delicious KITKAT treats!”

“This partnership allows us to engage with the next generation of gaming enthusiasts, offering them the breaks they need both in-game and in life,” said Robert Helou, CEO of Nestlé KSA. “By integrating our ‘Have a Break’ philosophy into the esports world, we aim to resonate deeply with gamers, highlighting the importance of mental well-being in the high-stress environment of competitive gaming.”

Starting July 3, Riyadh will become the epicenter of esports fandom and gaming culture as the Esports World Cup kicks off in Boulevard City. Fans will have the opportunity to watch their favorite athletes and teams compete across 22 game championships, vying for a share of more than $60 million in prize money — the largest prize pool in esports history. Over the course of eight weeks, the Esports World Cup will feature a variety of festival activities, including gaming activations, community tournaments, pop culture celebrations, international experiences, and more.
