Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has announced a significant expansion of data centers in Riyadh. Launched by SDAIA President Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, this initiative marks a major advancement in Saudi Arabia’s data infrastructure.

The new data centers feature an impressive electrical capacity of up to 65 kilowatts per cabin, making them among the most advanced in the region. These centers are equipped with highly efficient electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This expansion is part of SDAIA’s strategy to enhance the capacity and operational efficiency of data centers across Saudi Arabia.

SDAIA’s projects are designed to align with the best global practices and standards established by the UPTIME Institute, the leading authority on data center evaluation and classification. This adherence to international standards underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to developing world-class, sustainable data infrastructure.

The launch event, attended by key figures such as Dr. Essam Al-Waqit, Director of the National Information Center, highlights the collaborative efforts within SDAIA to drive the country’s digital transformation. This expansion of data centers in Riyadh is a crucial step in positioning Saudi Arabia as a leader in data and AI technologies.
