UAE AI Camp to Train Next Generation of AI Innovators

The UAE Artificial Intelligence Camp, launched on July 29, 2024, marks its sixth edition, aiming to equip the youth with vital AI skills. Organized by the National Program for Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with the National Program for Coders, this five-week camp focuses on harnessing the potential of young minds. Participants will gain access to the latest AI tools and solutions, enabling them to develop innovative technologies and address challenges in critical sectors.

Targeting a diverse audience including children, students, AI experts, and community members, the camp covers areas such as data science, machine learning, AI applications in education, healthcare, and finance, as well as web development, robotics, AI ethics, cybersecurity, and virtual reality. Workshops are conducted in partnership with government and private entities, along with leading technology companies.

Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE’s Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, emphasized the camp’s alignment with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The initiative reflects the UAE’s commitment to building a future-ready workforce capable of leading the AI sector. Al Olama highlighted that the camp fosters community awareness and adoption of advanced technologies, contributing to the development of a sustainable digital economy and enhancing the UAE’s global competitiveness.

The camp features interactive workshops that prepare participants for hackathons and competitions in generative artificial intelligence. It also covers important topics such as cybersecurity, including identifying challenges and best practices, and promoting responsible AI use in educational settings. Additionally, participants will explore robotics, learning how to utilize robots in daily life and understand computer vision’s role in this field.

Since its inception, the UAE AI Camp has attracted over 30,000 participants, offering training in cutting-edge technologies.
