The UAE’s Cyber Security Council (CSC) has issued a new advisory, urging residents to update their Google Chrome browsers immediately. According to the CSC, critical vulnerabilities have been identified in the current version of Chrome, which could be exploited by attackers, potentially leading to data theft, malware installation, and other malicious activities.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the CSC highlighted the importance of this “critical security update” released by Google to address multiple high-severity vulnerabilities. The update includes six security fixes designed to protect users from these threats.

“Google has released a critical security update for Chrome to address multiple high-severity vulnerabilities,” the CSC stated. “These vulnerabilities could be exploited by attackers to compromise vulnerable systems, potentially leading to data theft, malware installation, or other malicious activities.”

The CSC strongly recommends that all residents update their Google Chrome browsers to the latest version. Additionally, it urges individuals to share this important information with their subsidiaries and partners to ensure widespread protection against potential cyber threats.
