His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II attended the launch of “Jordan Source”. It aims to attract regional and worldwide investment in business process outsourcing and information technology outsourcing in the Kingdom.

Crown Prince Al Hussein said “Jordan Source” is a new resource to make it even easier for investors to tap into Jordan’s qualified IT workforce, during a webinar attended by over 200 participants from around the world and representatives of local and global companies that operate in Jordan in the fields of BPO and ITO.

Jordan’s exceptional talent produces a well-educated, bilingual, and tech-savvy workforce, according to His Royal Highness, which has prompted big global ICT companies to invest in the Kingdom.

Jordan’s tech talents have a far-reaching impact, according to the Crown Prince, who added that Jordanian tech entrepreneurs account for 27 percent of the Middle East and North Africa’s tech entrepreneurs, despite Jordan’s population accounting for only 3% of the area.

 His Royal Highness advocated for using Jordan’s strategic location at the crossroads of Asia and Europe by pursuing free trade agreements with 1.5 billion clients in 161 countries.

Minister of Digital Economic and Entrepreneurship Ahmad Hanandeh, speaking during the webinar, said Jordan’s ICT sector has significant growth potential, with highly trained human resources and supporting infrastructure, regulation, and incentives.

The minister emphasized the “Jordan Source” incentive program, emphasizing Jordan’s importance as a BPO and ITO location.

 According to World Bank Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa Ferid Belhaj, Jordan’s competitive advantages position it as a potential regional IT powerhouse.

According to Belhaj, the Kingdom has a highly educated and competent workforce and a thriving business environment that has grown over the last decade.

He emphasized the World Bank Group’s commitment to assisting Jordan in enacting reforms that improve investors’ experiences and foster the growth and holistic extension of outsourcing services outside Amman.

Jordan Source is part of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship’s Youth, Technology, and Jobs project, which is funded by the World Bank Group and aims to leverage Jordan’s ICT capabilities.
