OPSWAT, a cybersecurity solutions brand dedicated to safeguarding critical infrastructure protection (CIP), has announced its participation in GITEX Global 2023. During this event, OPSWAT will demonstrate to attendees how to fortify critical infrastructure through their comprehensive IT/OT security solutions.

Under the banner of “Modernizing Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP),” OPSWAT aims to shed light on the cybersecurity challenges faced by evolving critical infrastructures in the Middle East. The company will showcase its proactive measures designed to instill newfound confidence in the region’s OT security teams. Sertan Selcuk, VP of Sales for the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, and Pakistan at OPSWAT, stated, “Our GITEX theme underscores the need for proactive measures in cybersecurity. Maintaining the status quo is insufficient; we must take bold steps to address both current and future cyberthreats that could potentially compromise our infrastructure.”

What sets OPSWAT apart from others in the market is its unique single-platform approach. This platform, purpose-built from the ground up, provides protection against file-borne threats from various sources, including USB devices, web traffic, storage, email, and APIs. It also offers the essential zero-trust architecture required for safeguarding critical infrastructure. Notably, OPSWAT’s solutions can be deployed in diverse settings, including the cloud, on-premises, and even in air-gapped networks.

A Comprehensive IT and OT Security Portfolio on Display at GITEX

OPSWAT’s GITEX exhibit will feature an extensive CIP laboratory demonstrating the synergy between IT and OT solutions in securing critical environments. These solutions address a wide range of challenges faced by organizations, including application security, cloud security, critical network security, supply chain security, endpoint management, security operations, and email security.

On the OT side of the laboratory, OPSWAT’s solutions empower the secure and compliant use of removable media, transient devices, and enforce unidirectional data transfers. Prominent products available for demonstration include MetaDefender Kiosk, Vault, and Drive, MetaAccess OT, OPSWAT Client, MetaDefender USB Firewall, NetWall, OTfuse, and Neuralyzer.

Products showcased on the IT side of the laboratory encompass MetaDefender Core and ICAP Server, MetaDefender Email Security, MetaAccess, and MetaDefender for Secure Storage.

What sets these integrated solutions apart is OPSWAT’s cutting-edge zero-trust technologies on a single platform, offering capabilities such as Deep Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR), Multiscanning, Proactive DLP, next-generation sandboxing, threat intelligence, file-based vulnerability assessment, and country of origin detection.

Affirming Commitment to the Region

In addition to showcasing its products, OPSWAT will use GITEX as an opportunity to raise awareness about its recent partnership with the value-added distributor (VAD) StarLink. This partnership aims to provide regional customers with a comprehensive cybersecurity approach. As skills shortages and cybersecurity challenges escalate, StarLink will play a pivotal role in offering OPSWAT’s end-to-end cybersecurity platform to security professionals across the Middle East and Africa.

OPSWAT is also committed to helping organizations bridge the skills gap by offering complimentary OPSWAT Academy training vouchers. Irfan Shakeel, VP of Training and Certification Services at OPSWAT, emphasized, “By equipping professionals with the knowledge and skills to proactively secure critical systems, we take the first concrete steps toward realizing our GITEX theme’s call to action.”

Selcuk further added, “We have already established a strong reputation in the region for addressing the unique challenges associated with securing OT and ICS. We work with leading public and private sector enterprises across the Middle East, spanning sectors from oil and gas to finance, manufacturing, and healthcare. GITEX serves as our platform to engage face-to-face with our regional customers, partners, and potential collaborators. Together with our industry peers, we aim to protect our shared future.”

OPSWAT will be exhibiting at GITEX Global 2023 in Hall 24, Booth A50.
