Nutanix, a hybrid multicloud computing company, has announced significant enhancements to its Nutanix GPT-in-a-Box solution, including integrations with NVIDIA NIM inference microservices and the Hugging Face Large Language Models (LLMs) library. Additionally, the new Nutanix AI Partner Program aims to support customers in running, managing, and securing generative AI applications on the Nutanix Cloud Platform.
Nutanix GPT-in-a-Box 2.0 Features
The upgraded GPT-in-a-Box 2.0 introduces expanded NVIDIA accelerated computing and LLM support, alongside simplified foundational model management. Key features include:
– A unified user interface for foundation model management and API endpoint creation.
– Integration with Nutanix Files and Objects, plus NVIDIA Tensor Core GPUs.
– A graphical user interface for role-based access control and auditability.
– Dark site support and point-and-click deployment of NVIDIA NIM for enterprise and edge AI workloads.
Strategic Partnerships to Enhance AI Capabilities
Nutanix has partnered with Hugging Face to provide integrated access to its LLM library. This partnership allows Nutanix customers to leverage validated LLMs from Hugging Face, facilitating efficient execution and seamless workflow deployment.
Enhanced Unstructured Data Platform for AI/ML
Nutanix has also improved its unstructured data platform to support AI/ML applications with increased performance and lower total cost of ownership. Enhancements include:
– Support for a new 550+ Terabytes dense low-cost all-NVMe platform.
– Up to 10 Gigabyte/second sequential read throughput from a single node.
– Support for NVIDIA GPUDirect Storage to accelerate AI/ML applications.
– Expanded cyber resilience for data with Nutanix Data Lens now covering Objects and Files data.
AI Partner Program to Drive Innovation
The new Nutanix AI Partner Program provides customers with access to an expanded ecosystem of AI partners, addressing diverse use cases in operations, cybersecurity, fraud detection, and customer support. Initial partners include Codeium, DataRobot, DKube, Instabase, Lamini, Neural Magic, Robust Intelligence, RunAI, and UbiOps.
