Microsoft has introduced Azure VMware Solution, a fully managed service designed to facilitate seamless cloud migration for organizations. This service, built on VMware validated Azure infrastructure, enables businesses to effortlessly extend or migrate their existing on-premises VMware applications to Microsoft Azure with minimal disruptions. Available through Microsoft’s hyperscale cloud data centers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Azure VMware Solution was unveiled during an exclusive summit held in collaboration with Intel.

This empowers them to enhance cloud efficiency and access a wide array of native Azure services and tools seamlessly. Naim Yazbeck, General Manager of Microsoft UAE, emphasized the service’s role in supporting organizations’ transition to a cloud-first approach while fostering innovation at their own pace.
During the summit, Microsoft and Intel showcased the VMware Rapid Migration Plan, offering licensing benefits and price protection, particularly beneficial for Windows and SQL Server users. Additionally, Azure Hybrid Benefit enables significant cost savings while modernizing and maintaining a flexible hybrid environment. These solutions underscore Microsoft’s commitment to empowering regional organizations to leverage its trusted cloud, accelerate innovation, and embark on digital transformation journeys.
