ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW), an AI-driven business transformation, has announced its acquisition of Raytion, a company renowned for its information retrieval technology. This acquisition aims to enhance the GenAI-powered search and knowledge management capabilities of the Now Platform, providing unified real-time access to critical business data across multiple enterprise sources. This development promises a more powerful, efficient, and personalized AI search experience on a single platform.

Raytion’s technology will address the complexities of modern enterprise environments, where information is highly distributed and diverse. By integrating Raytion’s secure data access solutions, ServiceNow’s AI Search will allow users to find the necessary information without needing to know the exact location. This integration extends across data within ServiceNow and third-party systems, enhancing the overall user experience.

Jon Sigler, Senior Vice President of Platform and AI at ServiceNow, stated, “ServiceNow is accelerating work, uniting fragmented data into a single, intelligent platform that helps customers access and share knowledge across their organizations. Raytion’s information retrieval technology will set us apart by making relevant data sources searchable, so everyone—employees, customers, and agents—gets the answers they need when they need them.”

Raytion’s GenAI-powered search capabilities enable comprehensive data integration across enterprise knowledge repositories, ensuring users have access to relevant and contextualized information. This integration, combined with the ServiceNow Now Assist GenAI experience, enhances self-service and case deflection by delivering more accurate and tailored search results.

Valentin Richter, Founder and CEO of Raytion, commented, “Enriching GenAI with specific, up-to-date information an employee has access to across all relevant data sources not only makes business processes smarter but the entire enterprise more efficient. The combination of ServiceNow’s single platform with Raytion’s secure enterprise data integration technology gives businesses a competitive edge, allowing employees to solve problems and take informed actions faster.”

Since its founding in 2001, Raytion has implemented and operated large-scale business solutions for Global 500 companies worldwide. This acquisition is part of ServiceNow’s ongoing strategy to enhance AI capabilities and improve employee experiences, following previous acquisitions of Enable OH&S technology, Hitch Works, and 4Facility technology. ServiceNow completed the acquisition of Raytion in July 2024, though the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
