Intersec 2025 to Spotlight UAE Cybersecurity Strategy

Intersec 2025, the premier global event for safety, security, and fire protection, will return to the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 14-16, 2025, with a strengthened focus on cybersecurity. The 26th edition of Intersec will emphasize cybersecurity within the in{cyber} section, featuring a dedicated startup zone and Innovation Stage to showcase advanced solutions.

The UAE Cyber Security Council will support the Cyber Security sector at Intersec 2025, reflecting the critical need for robust cybersecurity measures. According to the 2024 State of the UAE – Cybersecurity Report, the UAE is grappling with over 155,000 vulnerable assets, with ransomware attacks and critical vulnerabilities posing significant risks, particularly in the government, energy, and IT sectors.

Grant Tuchten, Portfolio Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting the added value it brings through innovative content and awareness sessions. His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cyber Security Council, emphasized the importance of this collaboration in advancing cybersecurity awareness and global industry growth.

Intersec 2025 will also feature the 4th annual Cyber Security Conference and the new CISO Business Briefing, focusing on emerging threats and trends. Key global experts will discuss topics such as next-generation hackers, ransomware myths, and deepfakes. The event expects a 30% increase in cybersecurity exhibitors compared to 2024, with major companies like Dell, Ingram Micro, and Genetec showcasing their latest solutions. Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Intersec 2025 will present a comprehensive view of safety and security, hosting 1,200 exhibitors and attracting over 42,000 trade visitors from more than 60 nations.
