FedEx® Delivery Manager International (FDMi) now features WhatsApp notifications for package recipients in Saudi Arabia, available in English and Arabic. This upgrade aims to enhance the e-commerce experience by providing real-time delivery updates and interactive communication through one of the world’s most popular messaging platforms.

FDMi is an advanced e-commerce solution designed to offer customizable delivery options and alerts. E-tailers using FDMi can allow customers to select delivery times and locations according to their preferences and adjust addresses while shipments are in transit, all at no additional cost.

Abdulrahman Al-Mubarak, Managing Director of FedEx Middle East operations, highlighted the significance of this enhancement: “The FDMi service enhancement facilitates interactive communication for package recipients, providing them with updates from pickup to delivery. This underscores our commitment to simplifying the last-mile delivery process and ensuring consumer convenience.”

With the new WhatsApp feature, recipients receive notifications upon shipment pickup and can interact with FedEx directly through a META-verified business account. This integration helps protect against online scams and provides recipients with tracking and redirection options directly in the chat window.
