Veeam Launches Data Platform v12.2 for Enhanced Cybersecurity

Veeam® Software has released the Veeam Data Platform v12.2, a powerful solution designed to expand data protection across various platforms while enhancing cybersecurity capabilities. This new version integrates advanced data backup, recovery, and security features, enabling customers to securely migrate and protect their data on new platforms.

Veeam Data Platform v12.2 offers organizations the flexibility to maintain operational agility and security, ensuring critical data is safeguarded against evolving cyber threats. The platform supports a wide range of infrastructures, including Nutanix Prism Central and Proxmox VE hypervisor, providing scalable, policy-driven protection. The addition of MongoDB backup strengthens cyber resilience with immutable backups and advanced storage features.

Veeam has also expanded its support for Amazon FSx, Amazon RedShift, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake Storage, accelerating cloud transformation while ensuring robust data protection. Enhanced security features, including full management of YARA rules and expanded health-check alarms, help organizations strengthen their security posture and streamline operations.

Veeam’s CEO, Anand Eswaran, highlighted the platform’s role in addressing critical challenges faced by organizations, including data protection, platform migration, and ensuring data availability. Industry experts, including Krista Case from The Futurum Group, Martin Maurer of Proxmox Server Solutions GmbH, and James Westendorf from Lake Land College, have praised the platform’s new features for their flexibility and support during infrastructure transitions.
