G42, NVIDIA Team Up to Advance Climate Forecasting with AI

G42, an AI and cloud computing company, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with NVIDIA to advance climate technology. This collaboration is set to revolutionize weather forecasting accuracy through innovative AI solutions.

At the heart of this initiative is NVIDIA’s Earth-2 platform, which enhances climate and weather predictions via AI-augmented, high-resolution simulations. G42 and NVIDIA will initially develop a square-kilometre resolution weather forecasting model to significantly improve meteorological prediction accuracy.

A new operational base and Climate Tech Lab in Abu Dhabi will serve as the cornerstone of this effort. It will also facilitate the creation of customized climate solutions utilizing over 100 petabytes of geophysical data.
