Digital Dubai, the leading entity driving the emirate’s digital transformation, has revealed plans to develop the Dubai Data and Artificial Intelligence Platform. The platform is designed to meet the highest international standards, ensuring seamless data sharing and advanced analytics for both government and private entities.

Digital Dubai has awarded a contract to Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, to begin work on the project by the end of September 2024. The platform will serve as a central hub for official data and statistics related to Dubai, enabling easy access, hosting, and secure sharing of data. In addition, it will integrate innovative artificial intelligence solutions to support data analysis, enhance digital maturity, and help the government make informed decisions.

The agreement was signed by key officials, including Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai, among others.

The platform’s scalable infrastructure will support future needs, enhancing government performance across sectors. It will also reduce operational costs and optimize resource use, offering government and private sector entities access to advanced AI-backed technologies.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer stated, “This initiative aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to solidify Dubai’s position as a global hub for digital innovation, while contributing to the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33.”

The platform represents the next generation of the Dubai Pulse platform, unifying existing systems and providing a robust governance structure. It will be hosted on Moro Cloud, with cybersecurity services ensuring the highest levels of stability and business continuity.

The project underscores Dubai’s commitment to becoming a global digital capital by harnessing AI to enhance sustainability and drive economic growth.
