OPSWAT, a provider of critical infrastructure protection (CIP) cybersecurity solutions, has announced its participation in GITEX Global 2024, themed “Future Forward CIP.” Trusted by governments and major private sector entities across the region, OPSWAT aims to demonstrate its commitment to delivering comprehensive cybersecurity solutions that bridge the operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) divide.

Sertan Selcuk, Vice President of Sales for the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, Pakistan, and CIS at OPSWAT, emphasized the importance of robust defenses: “Critical infrastructure calls for critical defense. OPSWAT urges clients to trust no file or device. This approach is essential to eliminate malware, particularly zero-day exploits, and protect our most vital IT and OT environments.”

At the 44th GITEX, OPSWAT will showcase its Mobile CIP Lab, providing delegates with an in-depth understanding of its MetaDefender platform. Interactive demonstrations will cover a range of region-specific use cases, including storage security, supply-chain security, secure managed file transfer, endpoint security, email security, and more.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour OPSWAT’s Nuclear Plant Model Reactor, highlighting the company’s expertise in securing sensitive industrial environments. GITEX attendees will witness firsthand how OPSWAT’s IT/OT platform operates in real-world scenarios relevant to critical infrastructure in the GCC.

Selcuk added, “As critical infrastructure security leaders face increasingly complex technology environments and sophisticated attackers, they must consider not just detection, but also the perimeters of their organization and how they guard against threats from peripheral media and file uploads.”

In celebration of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, OPSWAT will offer complimentary CIP certifications to attendees at its booth, enhancing the GITEX experience while promoting cybersecurity knowledge and skills. Irfan Shakeel, VP of Training and Certification Services at OPSWAT, stated, “This initiative reinforces our commitment to advancing cybersecurity knowledge across the industry.”

Additionally, the OPSWAT Academy will host a Cyber Challenge, allowing participants to sharpen their skills while competing for prizes. Quizzes will also be available to test and expand attendees’ understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.

OPSWAT aims to engage with IT professionals and key stakeholders at GITEX, focusing on building strategic partnerships to enhance cybersecurity integration across various technological domains. Selcuk noted, “Our goal is to create collaborative opportunities that address both IT and OT security challenges, driving innovation and strengthening our collective ability to protect what matters most.”
