Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) is launching new artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled solutions to help employees work smarter, improve system efficiency, and accelerate plant operations’ path to autonomy. By leveraging decades of industry expertise and the latest AI technologies, including Honeywell Forge, the company is integrating AI into both new and existing solutions. These advancements provide an end-to-end AI experience for field workers, control room operators, and executives, offering a comprehensive approach to operational efficiency.

In response to challenges in the energy industry, such as a shortage of skilled talent and the need for enhanced efficiency, Honeywell’s AI solutions aim to improve decision-making speed, operational performance, and workforce productivity. The company has also partnered with Chevron to develop advanced AI-driven solutions focused on refining operations, further expanding its portfolio for the energy sector.

Honeywell’s AI capabilities include the Experion Operations Assistant, which integrates explainable AI into industrial processes. This solution helps operators quickly identify and resolve production issues, offering step-by-step guidance. By incorporating AI into plant operations, companies can optimize processes and help less experienced operators build expertise more rapidly.

A global survey of 1,600 AI leaders, commissioned by Honeywell, found that nearly two-thirds of respondents identified worker efficiency and productivity as the most promising use of AI. Honeywell’s AI-driven technologies align with automation trends, helping companies address workforce challenges while improving overall performance.

Honeywell is also launching its Field Process Knowledge System (PKS), which features an AI-powered “field assistant” designed to streamline field operations and maintenance. This web-based solution for supervisors, along with a mobile tool for field workers, centralizes tasks such as operations, maintenance, permits, and documentation, enhancing efficiency and safety.

Honeywell is adding AI-driven capabilities to existing solutions like Honeywell Experion® PKS, which now includes predictive advisories and troubleshooting features. These enhancements help maintain optimal system performance and provide AI-assisted support throughout the entire facility lifecycle. Additionally, Honeywell’s Production Intelligence solution contextualizes operational and IT data, offering real-time insights and predictive analytics to prevent future production issues, supporting overall business operations.

With these AI-powered solutions, Honeywell is addressing key industry challenges while aligning its portfolio with major trends in automation, workforce upskilling, and operational efficiency.
