du Partners with Nokia for 5G Advanced Expansion

du, the leading telecom and digital services provider, has announced an extension of its strategic partnership with Nokia to enhance its 5G network. This new agreement aims to bolster du’s state-of-the-art 5G advanced network with advanced technologies, including enhanced mobile broadband, 5G carrier aggregation, network slicing, and massive IoT connectivity through reduced capability (RedCAP), as well as edge computing. These innovations will ensure the network is future-ready, capable of supporting cutting-edge use cases for both consumer and enterprise customers.

As part of this initiative, du will deploy Nokia’s industry-leading 5G AirScale Radio Access Network (RAN) portfolio, which features baseband, Massive MIMO Habrok radios, and Remote Radio Head products. This deployment will guarantee superior capacity and coverage, even in challenging environments, while also enhancing energy efficiency to meet the growing demand for 5G services. This step aligns with du’s commitment to advancing its 2030 net-zero ambition.
