What to ask before adopting private 5G networks
The interest and debate surrounding private 5G networks is growing. Private 5G here and now, a recent report from NTT Ltd. and Economist Impact, revealed significant global interest, with 90% of CIOs and executive decision-makers believing that private 5G will become the new standard for networks. Around 51% of businesses plan to deploy a private 5G network by year-end in 2024.

Telcos gear up to secure new wave of 5G networks
Although the availability of APIs opens up new avenues of attack for malicious actors, there are a number of measures telcos can implement to protect their network. One third of respondents said they will implement network DDoS before commercial launch, while 28% plan to implement identity and access management systems and 22% next-generation firewalls (NG-FWs) before going live.

Ericsson establishes 5G innovation & growth with 100 live networks
Looking patterns of 5G, it is gaining traction faster than 4G, which was launched over a decade ago. This is due in part to the abundance of 5G-enabled smartphones on the market. According to Ericsson Mobility Report from November 2021, we expect 4.4 billion 5G subscriptions by the end of 2027, accounting for over half of all mobile subscriptions worldwide.
