Yahsat and Ericsson will offer integrated essential connectivity solutions to address industrial concerns such as a lack of network separation for communications, high operating costs, and data speed and coverage limits.

The Offering creates an opportunity for investors to participate in the potential strategic growth of a leading integrated satellite communication services provider. Mubadala will remain as majority shareholder of Yahsat’s issued share capital.

Thuraya 4-NGS is part of a transformational programme delivering a comprehensive, new L-band ecosystem with the upgrade of Thuraya’s space and ground, and user (products and solutions) segments.Complemented by a 5G-ready core network, Yahsat’s newest satellite system will ensure increased coverage and capacity, while delivering next generation mobility solutions for all customer segments, including defence, government, enterprise and consumers.

Under the MoU, the new company will develop technologies and produce products around three main streams: Aeronautical Satcom Technologies, Satellite Modem Technologies and Enablement of other Satcom Products and Technologies. It will leverage the significant knowledge and expertise establishment in the UAE and will be complemented by select international experts to build a global leader in this sector.
