Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) has taken significant steps to bolster Abu Dhabi’s gaming industry by supporting Tamatem Games, a prominent Arabic mobile games publisher, in relocating its headquarters to the emirate. This move aims to propel Tamatem Games into its next phase of growth while fortifying Abu Dhabi’s gaming ecosystem.
With over 70 content-creating companies contributing to Abu Dhabi’s gaming landscape, ADIO is committed to fostering this ecosystem through strategic partnerships that align with the emirate’s focus on innovation and technology. Notably, ADIO recently collaborated with Ubisoft, a global gaming giant, to further enhance Abu Dhabi’s gaming sector.
ADIO’s support encompasses various growth-enabling initiatives, including facilitating setup, connecting businesses to Abu Dhabi’s ecosystem, and providing avenues for international trade opportunities. According to Badr Al-Olama, Director General of ADIO, Abu Dhabi’s appeal as a global technology and design hub is on the rise, particularly evident in sectors like gaming, where the emirate is evolving into a hub for developers, publishers, and top talent.
Tamatem Games specializes in delivering culturally relevant and localized games to the Arabic gaming community, boasting a diverse portfolio with over 50 games and 150 million downloads. Through its collaboration with ADIO, the company aims to establish a center of excellence in Abu Dhabi, contributing to the emirate’s vision of becoming a regional e-gaming hub. Tamatem Games plans to employ more than 40 gaming specialists in Abu Dhabi and will forge close partnerships with local universities to facilitate internship and training opportunities.
