AMD Unveils Next-Gen Ryzen Threadripper Processors

AMD has officially launched the highly anticipated AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ PRO 7000 WX-Series processors, while also reviving the Threadripper processor lineup for the high-end desktop (HEDT) segment with the Ryzen Threadripper 7000 Series processors. These releases set a new benchmark for computing performance and innovation in the industry.

The Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors, which will be available to DIY customers, SI partners, and OEM partners like Dell Technologies, HP, and Lenovo later this year, are tailored for professionals and businesses that require top-tier performance, reliability, expandability, and security. They deliver exceptional multi-core performance, boasting “Zen 4” Threadripper architecture, and incorporate AMD PRO technologies to offer enterprise-level security and management features. These processors offer up to 96 cores and 192 processing threads, providing unparalleled performance in the workstation market.

Simultaneously, AMD is reintroducing the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 Series processors to the HEDT space for the first time since 2020. Catering to creative and professional users, the Ryzen Threadripper 7980X processor stands out by offering outstanding multi-threaded performance. Built on the AMD “Zen 4” architecture, these processors provide up to 48 PCIe® 5.0 lanes for desktop users, and they deliver up to 64 cores and 128 threads, ensuring unmatched levels of performance and efficiency.

AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO Processors:

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors, built on the 5nm “Zen 4” architecture, offer unrivaled performance and advanced platform features for the workstation market. With up to 96 cores and 192 threads, these processors outperform all others in complex simulation, generative design, rendering, and software compilation tasks. Users can experience up to two times faster performance in tools like Chaos V-Ray for multithreaded workloads. Moreover, Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors provide up to 384MB of L3 cache and eight channels for DDR5 memory, catering to applications demanding high memory capacity and bandwidth.

These processors will launch through OEM and SI partners, with select models available through retail channels. Supported by AMD’s collaboration with ISV partners, these processors are optimized for various workloads. AMD PRO technologies provide essential features for modern businesses, including cutting-edge security, robust manageability tools, and enterprise-grade stability, ensuring fast, reliable performance in any situation.
