The Apple Developer Academy, in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy, celebrated the graduation of its third cohort, comprising 192 female trainees. Over a rigorous nine-month program, these graduates honed their skills in coding, design, and business, positioning themselves for success in the burgeoning iOS app economy.
The graduation ceremony, held in Riyadh, was graced by esteemed guests including Dr. Enas Al-Issa, President of Princess Nourah bint Abdul Rahman University; Mr. Faisal Al-Khamisi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tuwaiq Academy; and Esther Hare, Senior Director of Worldwide Developer Marketing at Apple.
Dr. Enas Al-Issa praised the collaborative efforts of the Apple Developer Academy and Tuwaiq Academy in nurturing and empowering technical talents. She emphasized the Academy’s role in fostering an environment that encourages innovative solutions, contributing to Saudi Arabia’s excellence in the digital economy.
Mr. Faisal Al-Khamisi expressed pride in the rapid achievements of the Apple Developer Academy, attributing its success to the robust support from His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He highlighted the Kingdom’s significant advancements in digital indicators and its competitiveness within the G20, aligning with Vision 2030’s goals. Al-Khamisi underscored the importance of academies like the Apple Developer Academy, supported by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones, in enhancing human capital and driving national development.
Ms. Ohood Al-Nayel, Director of the Apple Developer Academy in Riyadh, commended the graduates for their excellence in transforming innovative ideas into impactful applications using Apple technologies. She highlighted the Academy’s unique learning methodology that emphasizes creativity, self-analysis, and problem-solving.
