AVEVA appoints the new Chief Revenue Officer and new General Counsel and Company Secretary

AVEVA has announced the appointment of Caspar Herzberg as Chief Revenue Officer and Helen Lamprell, OBE as General Counsel and Company Secretary to its executive leadership team. When they join AVEVA on November 1, both leaders will bring a plethora of global experience to the company.

The new appointments, which will be based in London and Dubai, will help AVEVA expand its international footprint and digital transformation skills at a time when businesses are increasingly relying on linked solutions for global workforces.

Herzberg said: “For decades, AVEVA has pioneered innovations that empower industry to optimize value, efficiency and sustainability, and I’m delighted to be joining an organization with this track record. Herzberg has more than two decades of international technology experience. Herzberg spent ten years at Cisco, where he led sales for mega projects in Saudi Arabia, developed the company’s global smart city strategy, and was global managing director for the emerging solutions advisory business before becoming Vice-President Cisco Consulting Services for the Asia Pacific, China, and Japan after seven years at Accenture, where he specialized in supply chain optimization and outsourcing. He has headed Schneider Electric’s business throughout over 80 countries in the Middle East and Africa for the past five years.

Herzberg was born in Egypt and graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Arabic and Modern Middle Eastern Studies and an MSc in International Politics from SOAS University of London. He is a member of the Advisory Council of the Dubai International Chamber of Commerce and a Board member of RES4Africa, a non-profit foundation dedicated to a green energy transition across Africa.

AVEVA will draw on his extensive experience to head the worldwide sales department and help partners worldwide improve their skills. Herzberg will be located in Dubai and speaks English, Arabic, French, and German.

Lamprell studied law at Cambridge University and has over twenty years of legal and external affairs expertise. She advised on a wide range of topics at Linklaters during her seven years there, from emerging markets equities to hybrid capital. She then spent 18 years at the Vodafone Group and Vodafone UK, where she most recently served as General Counsel & External Affairs Director and a member of the UK Board of Directors. Helen supervised many of Vodafone’s biggest agreements in the UK and abroad, including the landmark Verizon Wireless merger, before moving to Vodafone’s historic headquarters to fix the UK operations. She had a broad portfolio ranging from security to communications.

In the 2020 New Year’s Honours list, Lamprell was given an Order of the British Empire (OBE) for contributions to business and equality. She is presently a non-executive director of the Low Carbon Contracts Company and the Electricity Settlements Company, sibling entities jointly owned by the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. She is an advocate for sustainability and diversity. She is still a member of the UK government’s Women’s Business Council and a director of the non-profit Employer’s Initiative on Domestic Abuse.

Lamprell will be based in London and will be in charge of AVEVA’s global legal and company secretarial functions as the company capitalizes on synergies from the recent acquisition of OSIsoft.
