As the Middle East gears up for rapid AI adoption, the urgency for AI-ready infrastructure intensifies. At GITEX GLOBAL 2024, Cisco will unveil its cutting-edge technologies across networking, security, and observability, all aimed at empowering organizations to navigate the evolving AI landscape. Under the theme “Making AI Work for You,” Cisco will demonstrate AI-enhanced solutions that provide customers with critical visibility and insights across their digital environments, merging network capabilities with industry-leading security and observability.
The region has seen a notable rise in AI demand, driven by government initiatives focused on establishing robust AI ecosystems. According to a recent PWC report, the Middle East is projected to generate up to $320 billion in economic gains by 2030 through AI adoption, with AI potentially contributing up to 14% of the UAE’s GDP by the same year.
Cisco’s AI Readiness Index reveals that 95% of organizations in the UAE have an AI strategy in place or under development. However, only 7% have fully developed infrastructure to manage AI workloads, and 75% of organizations are not adequately prepared to detect and prevent adversarial attacks on AI models.
Abdelilah Nejjari, Managing Director for the Gulf and Levant Region at Cisco, stated, “GITEX is a key accelerator of innovation in the region, and our participation this year underscores our commitment to advancing the deployment of AI technologies across industries. As organizations seek to integrate AI into their operations, we are ready to support them with solutions that deliver critical outcomes and unlock new business growth opportunities and efficiencies.”
Cisco’s booth will feature a comprehensive array of solutions designed to power hybrid work, enhance cybersecurity, improve digital experiences, and modernize infrastructure. Attendees can witness demonstrations of AI-empowered solutions tailored for various industries, including education, healthcare, financial services, retail, and manufacturing.
