Condor Electronics & Hisense ME: Transforming MENA Manufacturing

Condor Electronics, a prominent player in consumer electronics manufacturing and distribution in Algeria and a part of the Condor Group, has signed a momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hisense Middle East. Hisense Middle East is a leading manufacturer of consumer electronics and home appliances in the region.

The aim of this collaboration is to establish a sustainable supply chain and enhance re-exports for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. As per the agreement, Condor Electronics will acquire machinery and molds from Hisense to facilitate the local production and assembly of Hisense’s entire range of products in the MENA region, including televisions and home appliances. This strategic move will enable Hisense to be closer to the market, streamline the supply chain, and serve a wider geography through a regional manufacturing and assembly center.

To ensure the maintenance of product standards, Hisense will provide necessary training to Condor Electronics’ team on the usage and features of the machinery. The partnership will leverage Condor Electronics’ strength in production capabilities and its extensive business network in the region, thereby supporting Hisense in scaling up its operations and business presence in MENA.

The official signing ceremony took place at the Hisense headquarters in Qingdao, China, and was attended by senior management from both Hisense and Condor leadership. Mr. Jason Ou, President of Hisense Middle East and Africa, and Mr. Omar Benhamadi, Chief Executive Officer of Condor Electronics, signed the agreement.

Mr. Ou expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating that it will create a robust and highly efficient supply chain for Hisense products across the MENA region, making the products more readily available to customers. He also highlighted the commitment to sustainability and the potential for growth in the region.

Mr. Ou further emphasized the shared values of innovation, quality production, and dedication to customer service between Hisense and Condor. Both companies are optimistic that by combining their strengths, they can significantly enhance the presence of the Hisense brand throughout the region.

Mr. Ou concluded by stating that the focus of this partnership is to provide customers with high-quality products that incorporate advanced technology, sustainable innovation, regionally tailored features, and quick delivery – all at an affordable price. This alignment with customer needs and preferences is at the core of their joint mission.
