Dell & Nvidia Team Up for AI Factory

Dell Technologies has announced an expanded collaboration with NVIDIA, aimed at assisting enterprises worldwide in adopting AI technologies more seamlessly. This collaboration entails the enhancement of the Dell Generative AI Solutions portfolio, including the introduction of the new Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA. This initiative is geared towards enabling organizations to expedite the integration of their data, AI tools, and on-premises infrastructure, thereby optimizing their investments in generative AI (GenAI).

Michael Dell, the founder and CEO of Dell Technologies, emphasized the significance of simplifying AI solution implementation for enterprise customers. He highlighted the joint efforts of Dell Technologies and NVIDIA in delivering solutions that facilitate the seamless integration of data with specific use cases, thereby streamlining the development of customized GenAI models.

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, emphasized the pivotal role of AI factories in facilitating intelligence at an industrial scale. He underscored the collaborative efforts of NVIDIA and Dell in empowering enterprises to establish AI factories for transforming proprietary data into valuable insights.

The collaboration between Dell and NVIDIA aims to provide high-quality results through high-quality data. The enhancements to the Dell Generative AI Solutions portfolio are designed to modernize AI adoption, accelerate business transformation, and enhance productivity:

– The Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA represents the industry’s first end-to-end AI enterprise solution, integrating Dell’s compute, storage, client device, software, and services capabilities with NVIDIA’s advanced AI infrastructure and software suite. This solution, delivered as a fully integrated offering, leverages rack-level design, rigorous testing, and validation to deliver a seamless solution for transforming data into valuable insights and outcomes.

– Dell Technologies will collaborate with NVIDIA to introduce a rack-scale, high-density, liquid-cooled architecture based on the NVIDIA Grace Blackwell Superchip, supporting next-generation ecosystem improvements in performance density for enterprise AI workloads.

– Dell PowerEdge XE9680 servers will support new NVIDIA GPU models, including the NVIDIA B200 Tensor Core GPU, offering significantly higher AI inference performance and lower total cost of ownership. These servers will also support other NVIDIA Blackwell architecture-based GPUs, as well as H200 Tensor Core GPUs and NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand and Spectrum-X Ethernet networking platforms.

– Dell Generative AI Solutions with NVIDIA encompass Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Model Training, offering pre-validated, full-stack solutions to accelerate enterprise AI adoption and improve GenAI model quality and accuracy.

– Dell Data Lakehouse, now globally available, is an open, modern data lakehouse facilitating data discovery, processing, and analysis across hybrid and multicloud environments.

– Dell PowerScale is validated as the world’s first Ethernet storage solution with NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD with DGX H100 systems, enabling faster and more efficient AI storage.

Additionally, Dell Professional Services for GenAI, supported by NVIDIA AI and infrastructure experts, aim to help customers integrate, manage, and secure these solutions to achieve business results faster. This includes the provision of advisory services for GenAI Data Security, assisting customers in assessing and mitigating security risks associated with AI adoption.
