Dell Technologies has unveiled the OptiPlex 3000 Thin Client, which is built with the same dependable, long-lasting designs and rich ecosystem as business desktops. The device, which is available with multiple operating systems such as Dell ThinOS, Ubuntu Linux, and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, builds on Dell’s legacy as a pioneer in cloud client solutions and ushers in a new era of Dell thin client offerings with the world’s most secure thin client powered by Dell ThinOS.
The OptiPlex 3000 Thin Client is designed for front and back-office teams of all sizes and is compact, fan-less, highly configurable, and compatible with a wide range of stands and mounts. Built with the latest N-series Intel® processors, it supports up to 16GB of memory and comes standard with 32GB eMMC flash storage, with the option of an additional 256GB of SSD storage. The thin client, which has a variety of ports, can power up to three 4K displays. This new generation thin client, like the rest of Dell’s OptiPlex portfolio, supports Wi-Fi 6E technology, which provides faster speeds and better performance while providing instant access to digital and virtual workspaces.
Dell Technologies’ VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) solutions remain a critical part of Dell’s strategy as customers explore new ways of working, and the OptiPlex 3000 Thin Client combined with the innovative software line-up is the latest example of the evolving portfolio.
One of the Middle East’s largest banking organizations recently deployed Dell Hybrid Client solutions to provide secure access to their virtual workspace to over 7,000 team members. Not only was this able to provide their workforce with consistent experiences across multiple sites and easy access to collaboration tools, but the IT team was also able to integrate a biometric security solution to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.
