DMT Signs Four Strategic MoUs at GITEX Global 2024

The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) signed four strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with LOCAI, Siemens Advanta, Core42, and Presight AI Technologies during GITEX Global 2024. These partnerships mark a significant step forward in enhancing Abu Dhabi’s technological infrastructure, with a focus on AI and sustainable urban development. The signing ceremony was attended by HE Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of DMT, alongside senior officials.

Commenting on the agreements, Dr. Saif Al Nasri from DMT stated, “Collaborating with these leading innovators allows us to ensure our infrastructure remains efficient and resilient, improving the quality of life for all Abu Dhabi residents. These partnerships will have a lasting impact across key sectors, helping us keep Abu Dhabi at the forefront of progress.”

DMT’s collaboration with LOCAI and Core42 will drive innovations in smart cities, big data, and AI, supporting the Department’s cloud transformation initiatives. These partnerships will enable the implementation of strategic projects showcasing the benefits of DMT’s development efforts.

Siemens Advanta will focus on enhancing operational efficiency and reducing energy consumption within DMT through advanced technologies as part of the Smart and Cognitive Cities program, helping to build future-ready cities.

Presight AI Technologies will support the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility) by advancing AI applications in transportation, including traffic management, fleet management, EV charging infrastructure, and transport safety solutions. The partnership will also focus on AI knowledge transfer and capacity building, offering scalable solutions for the mobility sector.

These collaborations highlight DMT’s commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability, accelerating Abu Dhabi’s transition towards smarter urban development and future readiness.
