du, a key player in Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), has unveiled two pioneering educational initiatives aimed at fostering technological proficiency and entrepreneurial skills among the youth. These initiatives include a Robotics Workshop and the new “Skillpreneurship” program, both organized by the du Youth Council.

The Robotics Workshop is a certified program designed to enhance participants’ innovation skills through hands-on experiences in robotics. Conducted by Mohammad Alshamsi, a prominent robotics engineer, the workshop will cover essential topics such as robot design, internet connectivity, and system troubleshooting. Over two days, participants will gain foundational knowledge in emerging technologies, empowering them with practical skills for future advancements.

Alongside this, du introduces the “Skillpreneurship” platform, which provides a unique opportunity for youth to leverage their talents for entrepreneurial and personal growth. This platform enables participants to offer their skills for monetary rewards within the company and to external entities like educational institutions and businesses. With engaging workshops offered both physically and online, the initiative has already attracted over 200 attendees, demonstrating its success and impact.

These efforts align with du’s commitment to digital transformation and youth empowerment, promoting a culture of innovation and skill development while enhancing career opportunities for the youth in the UAE.
