Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC)’s du proudly announces that its Samacom Al Qudra teleport facility has achieved the prestigious Tier 4 certification through the Teleport Certification Programme by the World Teleport Association (WTA). This certification underscores du’s role as a leading provider of advanced teleport services, offering extensive access to a diverse array of satellites and catering to broadcasters.
Known for its stringent evaluation process, the Teleport Certification Programme acknowledges du’s dedication to fostering an optimal environment for satellite operators and service providers. The Tier 4 certification serves as evidence of du Samacom’s robust support for Geostationary (GEO), Low Earth Orbit (LEO), and Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellite constellations.

Spanning a vast 75,000 square meters, the Al Qudra facility boasts full visibility of the geostationary arc, free from physical line-of-sight obstructions. Completed in 2021, the facility features 45 transmit/receive antennas and 22 receive-only antennas, providing access to S, C, Ku, and DBS band satellites.
