Dubai Chambers, in partnership with the Dubai Future Foundation, successfully organized a workshop focused on the gaming sector. The session explored emerging opportunities and strategies to advance the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033. This initiative aims to position Dubai as a top global hub for gaming, creating up to 30,000 jobs and contributing around $1 billion to Dubai’s GDP by 2033.
Key stakeholders, including game developers and AI experts, discussed boosting the sector’s economic value and enhancing Dubai’s competitiveness. Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, highlighted the program’s role in elevating Dubai’s global standing as a hub for gaming and esports.
The event also emphasized the importance of the gaming sector for the upcoming Expand North Star event, organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the chamber, and the ‘App Olympics’ competition under the ‘Create Apps in Dubai’ initiative. Representatives from the Dubai Future Foundation discussed resource allocation and industry governance, further solidifying Dubai’s position in the global gaming landscape.
