Dubai Industrial City, the premier industrial and logistics hub in the region, has unveiled its latest expansion initiative during the Make it in the Emirates Forum. The event, graced by the presence of HE Sarah Al Amiri, witnessed the official launch of an additional 13.9 million sq.ft. of land capacity, reaffirming Dubai’s commitment to bolstering the manufacturing sector.

The expansion, valued at AED 410 million, aims to fortify local supply chains and catalyze domestic manufacturing within the UAE. Notable dignitaries including HE Omar Al Suwaidi and industry leaders from TECOM Group were present during the unveiling at the forum held in Abu Dhabi.

This strategic move follows Dubai Industrial City’s outstanding performance over the past year and a half, driven by initiatives like Operation 300bn and Make it in the Emirates. The surge in demand for top-tier industrial spaces underscores the region’s growing prominence as a manufacturing destination.

Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President of Industrial at TECOM Group, emphasized the critical role of the manufacturing sector in fostering innovation and sustainable growth. He highlighted Dubai Industrial City’s expansion as a testament to their dedication to supporting industrial and logistics sectors not just locally but on a global scale.

The recent expansion has attracted international giants such as Himalaya Wellness and Sokovo, further enriching Dubai Industrial City’s diverse ecosystem. Additionally, investments from companies like Neelkanth Cables Manufacturing LLC and Dubatt Battery Recycling underscore the attractiveness of the industrial hub.

Dubai Industrial City’s impressive roster of clients, including industry leaders like Unilever and Standard Carpets Industries, showcases its pivotal role in driving manufacturing excellence. The ongoing Make it in the Emirates Forum serves as a platform to highlight the integral contribution of Dubai Industrial City’s ecosystem in fostering indigenous talent and innovation.
