e& enterprise, the digital transformation arm of e&, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SERGAS Group, a UAE-based gas system solutions provider. This three-year partnership aims to develop cutting-edge digital solutions that enhance the safety and sustainability of the gas distribution network across the GCC, aligning with regional regulatory standards.

The collaboration will focus on integrating advanced technologies, including smart meters, IoT-enabled systems, digital payment platforms, cybersecurity, multi-cloud infrastructure, and custom software development into both new and existing gas distribution networks in the region. These solutions are designed in close cooperation with civil defense authorities to ensure early detection of incidents, enabling faster response times and enhancing overall gas safety.

In addition to improving safety, these smart solutions will promote transparency in gas consumption, allowing both consumers and providers to engage in sustainable practices and track the environmental impact of their energy use.

Ragi Magdy, Chief Commercial Officer at e& enterprise, emphasized, “The future of energy lies in intelligent, sustainable networks. By leveraging advanced technologies like AI, we aim to enhance safety and efficiency in gas distribution systems. This partnership with SERGAS Group will set new benchmarks for safety and environmental responsibility across GCC gas networks.”

Mohamed Damak, CEO of SERGAS Group, added, “Our collaboration with e& enterprise reflects our commitment to safety and sustainability. With the support of UAE Civil Defense and the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, we are introducing innovative technologies that allow authorities to remotely monitor and control gas operations, improving safety and promoting a sustainable energy future.”

This partnership allows e& enterprise to extend its expertise in the gas sector, building on its work with electricity and water utilities, such as its collaboration with Etihad Water & Electricity. It also enables SERGAS Group to offer differentiated, safer services to customers.

Together, e& enterprise and SERGAS Group are setting a new standard for safety, transparency, and environmental responsibility, aiming to create a resilient, sustainable gas infrastructure for the future.
