Apple’s iPhone 13 features a smaller notch and a larger battery than last year’s model, which ups battery life by 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on the size of the device. A brighter screen on the iPhone 13 and 13 Mini, updated iPads and watches, and a 5G plan are some of the features Apple announced to entice people into 5G plans.

The iPhone 13 will be available in five colors, including pink, blue, midnight, starlight, and (PRODUCT)RED, commencing with pre-orders on Friday, September 17, and ready for release on Friday, September 24. The new handset will feature an advanced chip called the A15 Bionic, allowing it to automatically detect text when the camera is pointed at it. There are basically no differences between the new iPhone 13 and last year’s model in regards to camera placement.

The company describes its 12-megapixel camera as having a large sensor that uses 50% more light. The other lens is the ultra-wide lens. The iPhone 12 was Apple’s first device to feature 5G connectivity and a new look last year. This year, analysts expect modest hardware upgrades as well as a greater emphasis on 5G.
