The firm collaborated with industry partners to exchange information, experiences, and best practises in order to consistently generate value for telecom carriers while also assisting corporations in accelerating their digital transformation.

During the week-long event, Huawei met with enterprises from the Middle East and around the world to discuss themes such as 5G business success, green technology, and connectivity + IT, with a focus on creating business and social value to illuminate the digital economy’s bright future. Guo Ping, the company’s rotating chairman, pledged to maintain Huawei’s globalisation strategy and enhance investment in basic technologies in order to shift the technological paradigm. Huawei expects that by making this investment, it would be able to transform the basic theories, architecture, and software that support its business, boost its mid-to-long-term competitiveness, and assure the ICT sector’s long-term survival.

Huawei showcased different scenarios of how carriers should prepare for the gigaverse and how they may infuse sustainability in their operations at MWC under the subject of “Lighting up the Future.” Ryan Ding, Huawei’s Executive Director and President of the Carrier Business Group, urged operators to join Huawei in its GUIDE business roadmap in order to jointly create a stronger digital economy.

Huawei also unveiled new intelligent solutions and technologies such as 5G Advanced, 6G, IPv6+, and advanced computing technologies. During the company’s Operations Transformation Forum at MWC, more than 15 Middle East telecom providers and industry partners explored several of these new digital offerings.

Meanwhile, during MWC, Huawei focused on sustainability, demonstrating how a new generation of green ICT solutions and policies can benefit its carrier and corporate clients. The firm demonstrated how it can assist carriers in optimising energy by constructing energy-efficient buildings, networks, and operations, assisting them in reducing their carbon footprint while lowering energy prices to fulfil their cost-cutting goals—achieving “More Bits, Less Watts.”

At MWC, the firm also received several awards. Huawei 5Green Solutions won the GTI ‘Innovative Breakthrough in Mobile Technology Award’ and the ‘Outstanding Award’ at the MWC22 Barcelona, demonstrating Huawei’s significant contributions to technical innovation and sustainable development in its efforts to promote consumer advantages. Furthermore, Telkomsel, TPG, and Huawei earned the GTI Awards ‘2022 Market Development’ Award for their remarkable contributions to the 2.3 GHz sector. For six years in a row, the firm has been recognised a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for main storage.
