H.H. Khaled Bin Zayed Attends UMEX, SimTEX

H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, recently attended the sixth edition of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) and Simulation Training Exhibition (SimTEX). The event, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), is under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

During his visit, Sheikh Khaled engaged with influential decision-makers, industry experts, and entrepreneurs from both local and international companies. Discussions centered around the latest advancements and technologies in unmanned systems, spanning civil and defense sectors. The conversations also delved into the opportunities within the UAE’s expanding defense and security sector.

Emphasizing the UAE’s commitment to attracting cutting-edge innovations, Sheikh Khaled underscored the nation’s role as a premier hub for advanced industries. He specifically highlighted Abu Dhabi’s dedication to fostering innovation in unmanned systems, leveraging the emirate’s advanced technological ecosystem. Additionally, Sheikh Khaled emphasized the importance of building strategic partnerships and developing talent to fuel the continued growth of the sector.

Sheikh Khaled was accompanied by prominent figures including Mohamed Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Ahmed Jasem Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development; Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director Group CEO of Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre; Faisal Al Bannai, Secretary-General of the Advanced Technology Research Council; and Major General Staff Dr. Mubarak Saeed bin Ghafan Al Jabri, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of UMEX and SimTEX.

Organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Defence, the UMEX and SimTEX exhibitions will run until January 25th. The event serves as a platform for discussing the latest developments, trends, and innovations in the unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) sector.
