Google Cloud has appointed Noor Al-Sulaiti as the Head of Security Business Development and Government Relations for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) region. Noor, a seasoned professional renowned for her innovative leadership, brings extensive experience from the telecommunications and technology sectors to her new role.

This appointment underscores Google Cloud’s dedication to the region and its commitment to safeguarding digital assets for governments. Noor will spearhead Google’s security expansion efforts across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, emphasizing the growing significance of cybersecurity for the company. Her responsibilities include fostering strategic partnerships with the public sector to deploy Google Cloud’s advanced cybersecurity solutions, such as Cybershield—a tailored solution designed specifically for governments, inspired by the principle of collective defense against common adversaries.

Noor’s distinguished career features her tenure as CEO of Ooredoo Oman, where she became the youngest and first female CEO in the company’s history. Under her leadership, Ooredoo Oman underwent a digital transformation, becoming a customer-centric organization powered by data. Prior to her role at Ooredoo Oman, Noor served as the CEO of Starlink in Qatar and held managerial positions at Phono and FASTtelco in Kuwait. She has been recognized as one of the most influential businesswomen by Forbes Middle East and other prominent publications.
