Hub71 Welcomes 21 Startups in Cohort 15

Abu Dhabi’s global tech hub, Hub71, has welcomed 21 innovative startups into its 15th cohort, elevating its total number of supported ventures to 243. This cohort was selected from a competitive pool of over 1,228 applications and includes startups from around the world, including the USA, UK, France, and Germany.

These startups have collectively raised USD 134.9 million in funding, underscoring Hub71’s success in attracting high-potential companies. The new cohort will join Hub71’s Access program, as well as the specialized ecosystems Hub71+ Digital Assets and Hub71+ ClimateTech.

Prominent startups joining the Hub71 Access program include EpiBone, a US-based HealthTech firm with USD 43 million in funding, and Partanna Oasis, a material science company co-founded by NBA legend Rick Fox, known for its carbon-negative concrete and USD 26 million in funding. Additionally, UK-based Greengage, which offers Web3 FinTech solutions, and Norway’s Gateway.fm, a blockchain infrastructure provider, are set to join the Hub71+ Digital Assets ecosystem.

Ahmad Ali Alwan, CEO of Hub71, stated, “Cohort 15 features groundbreaking startups ready to enhance Abu Dhabi’s innovation ecosystem. Hub71 is committed to providing these startups with vital investment opportunities and market access to accelerate their global impact.”

The new cohort demonstrates Hub71’s capability to support Seed and Series A startups, with ventures spanning seven key sectors such as FinTech, ClimateTech, HealthTech, EdTech, and Mobility & Logistics. Startups like Plenesys, a French company creating clean hydrogen solutions, and Partanna Oasis are pivotal in advancing Abu Dhabi’s sustainability goals.

Startups in Hub71’s programs will benefit from a robust network of mentors, partners, and investors, gaining access to up to AED 250,000 in in-kind incentives, AED 250,000 in cash for equity via a SAFE note, and potential additional funding upon program completion.
