Huawei Cloud Showcases AI Solutions for Real-World Problems at Global AI Summit

Huawei Cloud made a significant impact at the Global AI Summit held from September 10-12, 2024, in Riyadh. As a Contributing Sponsor, Huawei Cloud presented its groundbreaking AI solutions designed to bridge the gap between artificial intelligence and industry-specific needs. This participation underlined Huawei Cloud’s commitment to “AI for Industries” by offering practical, scalable solutions that address real-world challenges across multiple sectors.

In his keynote address titled *”Reshaping Industries with AI: A Practical Approach,”* Bruno Zhang, CTO of Huawei Cloud, emphasized the company’s focus on accelerating AI adoption in industries. “AI is a transformative tool for industries. At Huawei Cloud, we’re dedicated to developing scalable AI solutions that address specific business challenges and unlock tangible value,” Zhang said. “Our vision is to promote ‘Tech for Good’ and lead the way with ‘AI for Industries.’ We aim to build a Cloud foundation for an intelligent world, powered by ubiquitous cloud and pervasive intelligence.”

One of the highlights of Huawei Cloud’s presence was its Pangu AI models, which are driving innovation across diverse industries. The Pangu Weather Model, for instance, can generate weather forecasts 10,000 times faster than traditional methods, offering more accurate typhoon path predictions in seconds. In government applications, the Pangu Government Model analyzes multimodal data for real-time city event management. In the mining sector, the Pangu Mining Model improves safety by detecting anomalies with 98% accuracy. The Pangu Automotive Model is revolutionizing autonomous driving by reducing the learning curve for new driving scenarios.

At the Huawei Cloud booth, visitors explored a variety of AI-powered solutions tailored for industries such as autonomous driving, programming, and spatial computing. Notable technologies included the Pangu Big Model for Autopilot, Huawei Cloud CodeArts Snap, an intelligent development assistant, and the EasyAR Metaverse platform, used by over 200,000 global developers for industries like tourism and education.

The Global AI Summit, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, provided a premier platform for discussing the future of AI and its potential to drive a more sustainable and equitable global society. Huawei Cloud’s contributions further solidified its role as a leader in industry-specific AI solutions, showcasing how AI can be a catalyst for tangible transformation across sectors.
