Intersec Awards 2025: Celebrating Security and Safety Excellence

The Intersec Awards 2025 returns for its fourth year, celebrating innovation and excellence in the fields of security, safety, and fire prevention. The event recognizes individuals, teams, and organizations setting new industry benchmarks across critical areas.

This year saw an impressive 1,412 entries spanning 15 diverse award categories under three main sectors: Fire and Safety, Security, and Industry. Top awards received overwhelming interest, with Excellence in Fire Safety, Outstanding Safety Solutions, and Outstanding Commercial Security Solutions leading with 196, 156, and 131 entries, respectively.

Adding further excitement, three new categories have been introduced for 2025: Excellence in Testing, Evaluation, and Certification, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the Year, and Consulting Leadership in Fire Safety, Security, and Cybersecurity.

We are thrilled to offer even more opportunities for companies to showcase innovations in cybersecurity, fire protection, and perimeter security, spotlighting the outstanding contributions that drive these industries forward.”

Among the standout categories, the Excellence in Testing, Evaluation, and Certification Award highlights finalists like Emirates Safety Laboratory for technology-driven initiatives, UL Solutions for its Certification of Targeted Water Mist Systems, and the Fire Protection Association for pioneering fire test methods for cladding systems.

The coveted CISO of the Year category includes prominent finalists such as Jody Blanchard (Zimmer Biomet), Harrison Nnaji (FBN), and Sultan Mahmood Malik (Huawei Technologies). The popular Rising Star Award for Emirati Talent celebrates promising figures including Lt. Col. Dr. Humaid Al Ali from the UAE’s Civil Defense, Dr. Maryam Bin Essa (Dubai Municipality), and Ahmad Al Awar (Dubai Police).

The Women Trailblazers in Security/Fire Safety Award will recognize trailblazing women, including Dr. Naseem Rafee (Dubai Municipality) and Salma Al Ali (Dubai Civil Defense).

Additional accolades, such as Fire Safety Excellence Project – Middle East & Africa, Premier Homeland Security Solutions, and Exemplary Perimeter Security Solutions, will also be awarded. Team excellence will be celebrated with recognitions for Outstanding Teams in Fire Safety and Security.

The winners will be announced at the Intersec Gala Dinner on January 15. Intersec 2025 will be held from January 14-16 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, with over 1,200 exhibitors from 60 countries and more than 52,000 attendees expected, marking it as the largest edition in its history.
