Snap Inc. is further expanding its presence in Saudi Arabia with the launch of a new office and the Kingdom’s first Creator Hub, “Majlis Snap for Content Creators,” located in the JAX district of Diriyah, Riyadh. This strategic move highlights the company’s commitment to enhancing engagement with its 25 million monthly active users in Saudi Arabia and supporting the growing community of content creators, partners, and clients.
To mark the milestone, Snap Inc. co-founder and CEO Evan Spiegel visited Saudi Arabia for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which was attended by His Excellency Mr. Khalid Al-Falih, Saudi Minister of Investment, and His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Alswaha, Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology. The event also featured a discussion between Jomana Alrashid, CEO of SRMG, and Evan Spiegel, focusing on Snap’s journey and its success in the Kingdom.
The new office supports Snap’s ongoing partnership with the Ministry of Culture, aiming to upskill local talent and contribute to Saudi Arabia’s vibrant cultural scene. Snap has become a key player in Saudi Arabia’s digital landscape, with Snapchat reaching 90% of 13-34-year-olds and users opening the app an average of 50 times per day. The platform has become an essential part of daily life, fostering authentic connections and creative expression.
“Saudi Arabia is one of our most dynamic growth markets. This investment will elevate the experiences of our large community of Snapchatters, as well as creators and advertisers, driving deeper engagement,” said Abdulla Alhammadi, Managing Director, KSA at Snap Inc. “With the number of Snap Stars in Saudi Arabia nearly doubling over the past three years, we are excited for Majlis Snap for Creators to become a catalyst for local creativity.”
The Majlis Snap for Creators hub will offer hands-on support, educational programs, and collaborative opportunities to nurture local talent. To celebrate the launch, Snap’s co-founder and CEO hosted exclusive sessions with partners, media, and top Saudi creators, further cementing Snap’s commitment to the local creator ecosystem.
Hussein Freijeh, Vice President of Snap Inc. in the MENA region, remarked, “Our expansion in the Kingdom signifies more than just a physical presence; it reflects our deep commitment to strengthening Saudi Arabia’s digital ecosystem. We aim to supercharge the Kingdom’s creator economy, support innovation, and amplify the voices that make Saudi Arabia unique.”
Snap’s expansion also opens new opportunities for businesses to engage with highly engaged audiences. With the number of active advertisers in Saudi Arabia quadrupling over the past three years, the Kingdom has become a vital market for brands in the region. Snap Inc. is dedicated to providing innovative tools and technologies to help businesses tap into the full potential of this dynamic market.
