Acer reveals Swift Go AI PCs, Intel Core Ultra

Acer has enhanced its Swift series of sleek, lightweight laptops with the introduction of new models powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra processors. These processors are notable for being the first to integrate Intel’s Neural Processing Unit (NPU) and boast advanced AI acceleration capabilities. The latest Swift laptops are designed to deliver superior performance, making them ideal for tasks like content creation, academic work, general productivity, and entertainment. They are more efficient, powerful, and intuitive thanks to the integration of AI-supported features, which significantly improve the overall user experience.

James Lin, Acer’s General Manager of Notebooks and IT Products Business, expressed enthusiasm about expanding the Swift line. “We’re thrilled to offer a broader array of our Swift laptops, incorporating AI technology to elevate the computing experience. Our latest models are equipped with remarkable updates that enhance productivity and performance,” he stated.

Jim Johnson, Intel’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Client Business Group, also commented on the partnership with Acer. “Our collaboration with Acer has led us to focus beyond just CPU capabilities, including aspects like power efficiency, graphics, and AI functionalities. The Acer Swift Go and Swift X 14 are prime examples of AI-powered PCs in the market, driven by Intel Core Ultra processors and the innovative NPU, enhancing user experience in collaboration, productivity, and creativity,” he remarked.

The new Acer Swift Go laptops, specifically the Swift Go 16 (SFG16-72) and Swift Go 14 (SFG14-73), come with state-of-the-art Intel Core Ultra processors and Intel Arc GPUs. These laptops are Intel Evo platform certified, ensuring top-notch performance and battery life – up to 12.5 hours for the 14-inch model and 10.5 hours for the 16-inch model. They feature innovative AI-supported functionalities, a 1440p QHD webcam with Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR), and Acer’s AI-enhanced PurifiedView conferencing tools. Additionally, they offer Intel Wi-Fi 7 for faster internet connectivity and have large, user-friendly touchpads. The laptops also boast vivid OLED displays, extensive memory and storage options, and a comprehensive selection of ports for connectivity.

The Acer Swift X 14 (SFX14-72G) is another addition, ideal for creators and students. It features the latest Intel Core Ultra processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series Laptop GPUs, and a Calman-verified 2.8K OLED panel for superior color accuracy. This model is geared towards high-quality live streaming, video editing, 3D rendering, and gaming, supported by NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 technology. It also includes a FHD webcam with AI-enabled TNR, and Acer’s advanced audio and video conferencing technologies.

  • The Acer Swift Go 16 (SFG16-72/T) will be available in EMEA from February, starting at USD 1,149.
  • The Acer Swift Go 14 (SFG14-73/T) will also be available in EMEA from February, with prices beginning at USD 1,099.
  • The Acer Swift X 14 (SFX14-72G) will be on sale in EMEA from February, starting at USD 1,799.
